Just a few weeks ago we said goodbye to our beloved Heidi and my mom said no more animals for awhile. Dad wanted to get another one a few days later and again mom said no. Well jump 4 weeks and Henry is now the newest member in the Seymour household.
Let me explain: Mom and dad went to McKamey's on Friday night "just to look" They met "TJ" and fell in love. They left McKamey's a few hours later and talked it over at dinner. Mom said they both loved him but she just wasn't ready for another dog. Well , dad woke up Saturday morning talking about TJ. Again mom said no and that was the end of discussion. Dad had some errands to run so once he left home, mom called me asking me to meet her at McKamey's. By the time I got there she was checking out and Katie was holding TJ. I said what's going on and mom said "Say hi to Henry." What?!! She bought the dog!! TJ didn't fit him so we named him Henry!
We took him to Petsmart to get groomed and buy him a crate, food, toys, etc. Still dad had no clue. A few hours later, mom went home and picked up dad. Katie and I are back at Petsmart and Sharon is also there to get pictures. Mom calls me as a signal that they are walking in. Katie and I get Henry and start walking towards dad. Merry Christmas Dad! He was so surprised and shed a few tears! Poor thing! He was so happy to finally get a big dog and a boy! That's what he's always wanted!!
